Baptist Financial Services Australia Limited changed its name to Christian Finance Australia Ltd (“Christian Finance”) effective 2 December 2025.
The name change comes as more than half of our clients now represent Christian ministry from beyond the Baptist community, including the integration with Churches of Christ Financial Services (CCFS) following their merger in 2024.
“This transition reflects the natural progression of our organisation and our commitment to enabling Christian ministry to thrive,” said David Slinn, Chief Executive Officer. “While we remain proud of being Baptist and continue as an Affiliated Ministry of Australian Baptist Ministries, the Christian Finance name better represents the diverse community we serve today and removes potential barriers that might prevent other Christian ministry from knowing they can use our services.”
Board Chair Ross Langford noted, “We’re not leaving Baptist ministry behind – we’re expanding our ability to serve alongside it and support it even more effectively.”
Over our 40-year history, we’ve developed specialised expertise in understanding the unique operational and financial needs of Christian organisations. The transition to Christian Finance positions us to leverage this expertise across the broad spectrum of Christian ministries across Australia.
The rebrand creates a unified platform following the merger with Churches of Christ Financial Services, enabling us to serve thousands of Christian ministries with enhanced resources, lower costs and expanded service capabilities. By serving the broader Christian community under the Christian Finance name, we’re living out Christian unity principles whilst staying true to our core values.
