Reflecting on Reconciliation
We present our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for July 2024 – July 2025. This plan embodies our commitment to fostering relationships and respect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, guided by the Christian values of reconciliation and mutual understanding.

About the Artist: Kyralee Shields
Our RAP is visually represented through the artwork of Kyralee Shields, a proud Darug and Darkinjung woman. Her art reflects the spirit of reconciliation and the journey we undertake together. More about Kyralee and her work can be found on her website: Kyralee Shields Art.
Symbolism in the Artwork
The first circle to the left represents Baptist Financial Services.
The large circle in the centre represents Baptist Financial Services and the Indigenous community coming together in reconciliation.
Following along the circles are journey lines, which represent the journey to get to reconciliation.
Wildflowers can be found all throughout, which represents growth, new beginnings and hope.
Towards the top and bottom of the artwork are journey lines with trees that also represent growth.
The stars around the outer edge of the work represent hope and dreams for the future when it comes to reconciliation.
The circle to the bottom right represents the Indigenous Community. You can see the people symbols around these circles.
